Parents jailed after infant found home alone

Posted: Updated:
SANFORD, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - A Sanford baby and his siblings are all in foster care, as their parents try to get the bond money together to get out of jail, where they have been since early Sunday morning.
Glorivy Rodriguez and Fernando Palomino are charged with child neglect, after Rodriguez’s found the couple’s 8-month-old infant alone in their house.
A judge set bond at $2,000 for each parent at their first appearance Monday afternoon.
Sanford police say the couple left the door to their home open Saturday night, with their 8-month-old baby sleeping inside, alone for hours. According to the arrest report, Palomino went drinking at a tequila bar, and then passed out on a couch at a friend’s Casselberry home.

Officers didn't find Rodriguez until nearly 7 o'clock Sunday morning, wandering the streets in Winter Springs. It’s not clear what she was doing all night.

The baby's aunt called the police, after waiting for four hours for his parents to come home.
Both parents will be arraigned on those child neglect charges August 19.
