Man arrested for ramming deputy's cruiser

Posted: Updated:
Volusia County Sheriff Deputies just arrested a man who rammed their cruiser Tuesday night.  Michael Walsh is charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder.

Deputies said he tried to take three teens out of state to the Northeast against their parent's will.  It was actually a parent to one of the teens who called the authorities about Walsh.

Deputies found Walsh Tuesday night with all three girls in his car at a convenience store in Oak Hill.

Deputies said after they were able to get the three girls out his car, Walsh drove away, but then they said he came back and tried to run a deputy and the parent over with his car right there in the
convenience store parking lot.

However, all Walsh was able to hit was the deputy's cruiser.  No one was hurt because the deputy wasn't in his car when Walsh allegedly struck it.
