Atlanta police said they they were forced to shoot a man they were trying to arrest Friday night.
Police said they were investigating drug activity on Boulevard when they were confronted by a group of people, and one of them had a gun.
Police said that man was Desmond Hunter, and he was not cooperating.
Officers said a struggle ensued and that's when Hunter was tased and shot.
Hunter is being treated at Atlanta Medical Center.
Police tell FOX 5 they are interviewing eyewitnesses.
The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave.
