Bicycle Popularity Growing in the Queen City

Posted: Updated:

Bicycles taking over the streets? Cars being parked for good? That is what some who live just a few miles outside of Uptown are doing.

Dinner & Bikes took place in South End tonight. It was an event that brought avid bicyclist together to talk about and ask questions on the growing trend of "Bikenomics."

Elly Blue was one of the speakers during the event. She wrote the book "Bikenomics: How Bicycling Can Save the Economy." The book breaks down the economics of how bicycles, long term, would overall improve the conditions of roads.

"It makes the economic case for bicycling as transportation," said Blue.
