Active Release Chiropractic Procedures

Wall, New Jersey (My9NJ) -

Christina Rampone is a three- time Olympic soccer gold medalist and four- time women's World Cup competitor and she says that as an athlete, she relies heavily on good chiropractic care.

Rampone credits much of her movement to Dr. Criscuolo who she says is a miracle worker. He uses an active release technique at his chiropractic center in Wall Township, New Jersey and he has really helped Rampone recover from a past injury.

“I was doing like three months of rehab and nothing was working and I came in one day and told him about my toe, and I didn’t realize that you could do it to the toe and sure enough back on the field and no pain,” she said.

Rampone believes that Criscuolo saved her soccer career by using the active release technique which only takes about five-minutes per visit. This procedure works by moving the tissue around the injured or affected area in a prescribed way while applying a specific amount of tension to the area to push scar tissue out of the muscles and tendons.

"As it applies to chiropractic, the great thing is besides working the joints you’re working the soft tissue. So you can work both the joint and the soft tissue, they work together, if u fix one part and not the other, they’re not independent, they’re interdependent on each other, that's why the fix is so quick. A couple of treatments instead of this ongoing type of care. You do a couple treatments and in no time you’re better,” Dr. Criscuolo said.
