It's really tough to meet a kid more accomplished than Fátima Ptacek. She has starred in an academy award-nominated movie, she's a successful model. But the 13-year-old's biggest claim to fame is being the voice of Dora in the hit Nickelodeon show "Dora the Explorer." She’s also in the new series "Dora and Friends: Into the City!" which premieres August 18th on Nickelodeon. The half-hour series features Dora living in a city, attending school and at the center of a peer group that works together to give back to the community -- having both real-life and magical adventures along the way. The Dora the Explorer series, which after 14 years remains the most-watched preschool show on TV, will continue to air. Fátima talked to Jeff Michael and Christine Devine about her early start in show business, her modeling career and being the third girl to voice Dora, one of the most popular characters in the history of children’s television. Fátima is also nominated for a 2014 Imagen Award for Best Young Actress/Television for her role as Dora. In addition, she’ll be making an appearance at this year’s National Council La Raza’s Expo on July 22 in LA. You can follow her on Twitter: @FatimaPtacek.
