Deputies: Child stable after being left inside hot car

Posted: Updated:
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office were called to Timber Creek Pediatrics in Avalon Park shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday in reference to a child left in a car.

Deputies said a mother had brought her 9-year-old to the clinic, leaving the 2-month-old female in the car.  After roughly an hour, they said the mother realized the infant was still in the car, and rushed her in to a doctor in the pediatric clinic.  The infant was stabilized and transported to Nemours Hospital, where she is in stable condition.

The Child Abuse unit is investigating the case, said a spokesperson with Sheriff's Office.
