ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WJBK) -

A Fox 2 crew tried to get to Madison Heights but didn't get very far Monday night.

At 13 mile and Roseville the water was three feet deep with many surrounding roads closed.

As night fell, the water in many areas has receded, but leaves behind a trail of stalled vehicles and frustrated motorists.

"That's a lot of water, a lot - more than a swimming pool," said one man who had been towing cars out until he got stuck at 13 mile and Groesbeck.

In St. Clair Shores there were more cars stalled out and people forced to walk. Lakeland Street was aptly named with water spilling into backyards.

From there to Oak Park, Royal Oak, Madison Heights the story was the same.

In Roseville there were four reports of people needing rescue from falling into manholes where the covers had floated away. Residents were advised to not walk on the streets.

We get into the race for Governor and that open U.S. Senate seat with the two most political guys in Michigan. The chairmen of the state Republican and Democratic parties join us to talk issues and probably slinging a little mud. Plus, we'll talk to someone who's bringing a branch of the Satanic Temple to Detroit. What do they really believe in? (hint: it's not worshipping the devil)
