WALTON COUNTY, Ga. -  Investigators say that a vehicle following too close to a school bus caused a crash that injured two students on board and sent another teen to the hospital.

Troopers with the Georgia State Patrol tell FOX 5 News that the accident happened on Georgia Highway 81 just north of Emerald Drive around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. A Toyota 4Runner driven by a 16-year-old girl slammed into the back of a bus as it slowed for a stop.

Two teens aboard complained of injures, but were not transported. The driver of the SUV was transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center in Monroe. The extent of her injuries was not immediately release.

Troopers say the driver of the SUV was charged with following too close.
