Coroner seeks public help identifying male found dead in Gary

GARY, Ind. (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a body found in Gary, Ind. on Thursday.

The male's body was found in the 6700 block of West 15th Avenue, the Lake County, Ind., Coroner's office said in a statement.

He is described as a 5-foot-5, 140-pound male of Caucasian, Hispanic or Asian descent, according to the coroner's office.

He was wearing blue, 30x30-sized Levi 527 jeans, a silver-colored belt buckle inscribed with the words “Live to Ride,” tan Dexter work boots in size 6 1/2 and a gold-colored post earring with a clear stone in his left ear, the coroner's office said. He was missing his two upper front teeth but had a partial denture.
