Xue Juan Han, 47, owner of Jenny's Massage Studio at 409 Westfield Ave., was arrested Aug. 12 and charged with promoting and engaging in prostitution. She was processed and released on a summons.

While Han owns Jenny's, she does not own the building, which is up for sale, according to a sign out front.

Westfield Police Chief David Wayman said police do not have the right to close down the business. It is unclear if Jenny's is still in operation.

Jenny's sits between a tea house and a boutique/art studio on a quiet street near the Westfield train station, with Holy Trinity School just around the corner.

Wayman said he believes the massage parlor started off as a legitimate business and “progressed from there.” When police investigated recently, “We didn't come across any signs of legitimate business taking place,” he said.

Police believe Han was the only person working there.
