Firefighters battled a massive blaze in the Waterford subdivision in Cartersville on Wednesday.
According to the fire department, multiple crews responded to the scene.
Neighbors reported the fire around 11:00 a.m. and it took nearly three hours to put out. Firefighters say nearly 70 percent of the house was engulfed when they arrived.
The 5,000-square-foot home is located on Waterford Drive. Officials say the home is a "total loss."
Fire officials tell FOX 5 no one was home when the fire broke out and there are no reports of any injuries.
Officials did not release the cause of the fire. The investigation continues.
