Thieves steal everything, leaving Inkster mother's place empty

Posted: Updated:
INKSTER, Mich. (WJBK) - Burglars took everything from one local woman, as her duplex was stripped down to empty shelves and closets.

Charmisha Yancey, 27, returned to her Inkster residence on Labor Day to find that someone had thrown a chunk of asphalt through the window and took everything.

"There's nothing here," Yancey says.

Yancey said she realizes that getting everything stolen, sadly, is not unusual but some of the items she was robbed of include the seasonings in the cabinets, pots, pans, her televisions and all of her and her children's clothes.

Even her shower curtain, toilet paper and tooth brushes were stolen, leaving the house literally, empty.

Sources tell Fox 2 the same thing happened to another victim on the same street on the same day. Inkster police are investigating.
