CREATIVE SERVICES
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS/LOG COORDINATOR – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Develop and execute all community services efforts and strategic public relations plans. Develop social media strategies and maintain social media sites as they relate to special projects and community related events. Enter the daily promotional schedule into station log system. Manage syndicated and network spot tagging. Write, produce and edit spots related to community services and public service projects. A minimum of 2 year experience in public relations/ community service. Familiar with the Pilat traffic system or similar computerized scheduling software preferred. Ability to determine appropriateness of promotion content for certain dayparts and demographics. Solid creative writing skills and knowledge of the TV production process including satellite feeds, spot tagging and dubbing. Exceptional organizational and planning skills and the ability to work well in an ever-changing environment.
PROMOTION PRODUCER – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Write and produce original promos, including daily topicals, station and news image spots, and network, sports and syndicated branding spots for FOX Triopoly in Central Florida. Must have a proven track record of producing conversational yet compelling promotional spots that break through the clutter and give viewers a reason to tune-in. Requires top-notch writing skills and a desire to win every day. Good understanding of how to sell news stories and station programming to target demographics. Must have the ability to execute distinct marketing and branding strategies for each station. Must be very familiar with social media sites and ways to increase traffic. Flexibility and ability to meet tight deadlines is key. Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays is required. A minimum of two years television promotion experience, a degree in communications or related field, a good understanding of graphics and visual effects along with proficiency with Microsoft Office, basic non-linear editing skills and AVSTAR news computer knowledge is preferred. AVID Adrenaline and After Effects experience is a plus.
NEWS
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Management of the editorial content and staff for assigned newscasts. Must be a leader with creative writing and producing skills, solid news judgment and ability to supervise and work with reporters, editors, producers and production crew to produce winning newscasts with clean on-air look. Must have at least three year’s experience working in a commercial TV newsroom as a major market producer or smaller market news manager. Must be able to work flexible hours and handle pressure and deadlines. Excellent people and communication skills needed; must be decisive, authoritative and be a team leader, builder and player.
MASTER CONTROL – (Temporary Full Time / Orlando): Assure that all elements of on-air presentation are of the highest quality. Work in a team environment during fast-paced, high-pressure newcasts. Duties include: Operate microwave and satellite equipment; operate and monitor remote transmitter; tune satellite receivers to record programs for air, spot checking for quality; tune in and troubleshoot local area microwave live-shots; switch on-air programming; operate Florical automation system; commercial and programming file servers; load and operate VTR machines; make dubs.A minimum of two years in the broadcast industry with experience in the master control environment preferred. Working knowledge of satellite and microwave communications. Broadcast skills with MCR switching, video file servers, VTR’s and transmitter remote controls are strongly preferred. Strong people skills, team player. Ability and willingness to work any shift a must.
SALES
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Develop understanding of FOX35 and MY65’s product. Market the stations to the advertising community. Produce and present effective sales strategies to existing and developed accounts that solve client problems and increase station revenues. Develop relationships with developmental retail clients, existing TV advertisers and their agencies. College degree and a minimum of two years work experience preferred. Candidate should possess top communication skills and be service oriented. Experience with new business development preferred. Knowledge of Scarborough, NSI, Enterprise, TV Scan and general computer skills a plus. Must have valid driver’s license.
