CREATIVE SERVICES
PROMOTION PRODUCER – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Write and produce original promos, including daily topicals, station and news image spots, and network, sports and syndicated branding spots for FOX Triopoly in Central Florida. Must have a proven track record of producing conversational yet compelling promotional spots that break through the clutter and give viewers a reason to tune-in. Requires top-notch writing skills and a desire to win every day. Good understanding of how to sell news stories and station programming to target demographics. Must have the ability to execute distinct marketing and branding strategies for each station. Must be very familiar with social media sites and ways to increase traffic. Flexibility and ability to meet tight deadlines is key. Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays is required. A minimum of two years television promotion experience, a degree in communications or related field, a good understanding of graphics and visual effects along with proficiency with Microsoft Office, basic non-linear editing skills and AVSTAR news computer knowledge is preferred. AVID Adrenaline and After Effects experience is a plus.
NEWS
CHIEF PHOTOGRAPHER – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Coach, critique and oversee daily activities of photographer and editor staff. Work with news managers to coordinate daily news coverage and long term projects. Shoot and edit video and audio for newscasts, news programming, promotion and other station related purposes. Operate ENG vehicles and equipment. Self-motivated, creative storyteller with strong photography and editing skills and a full understanding of live truck operations. Working knowledge of: DVC Pro/P-2 camera systems and AVID edit systems, lighting and sound equipment, and newsroom computer systems considered a plus. At least 5 years experience as a photographer/editor in a television news department is preferred. Willingness and ability to travel for story assignments. Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
VIDEO EDITOR/PHOTOGRAPHER – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Edits videotape for reporter and anchor packages, voice-overs and natural sound pieces for newscasts. Shoots and edits video and audio for newscasts, news programming, promotion and other station related purposes as needed and assigned. Operates ENG vehicles and equipment. Uses editorial and visual judgment. Creates and adds special effects to taped pieces. Is able to meet broadcast deadlines. Familiarity with both non-linear and tape-to-tape editing technology. Experience with both AVID Media Manager and DVC PRO technology a plus. Must possess strong news judgment and have valid driver’s license and good driving record. Should be flexible regarding weekends, holidays and OT. A minimum of one year experience as an editor or photographer in a television news department is preferred.
PRODUCER – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Produce and meet strategic goals for assigned newscasts. Create newscasts with impact by writing stories and teases creatively and effectively. Research and present compelling story ideas at daily editorial meetings. Strong creative writing skills and editorial judgment are a must. Working knowledge of newsroom computer systems, the Internet, graphic and production equipment, ENG & SNG remotes is desirable. College degree in an applicable discipline such as broadcast journalism. Prior experience in a television news department producing newscasts. Must work well under deadline pressure during breaking news.
REPORTER – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Produce creative, high quality, live reports. Each report must provide new and meaningful content. Must excel in covering breaking news events. Utilize sources to develop substantive news stories. A minimum of two years experience preferred working in a commercial TV newsroom as a reporter and/or anchor. Must possess high ethical standards, good news judgment and be a creative storyteller.
SALES
ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE – (Regular Full Time / Orlando): Develop understanding of FOX35 and MY65's product. Market the stations to the advertising community. Produce and present effective sales strategies to existing and developed accounts that solve client problems and increase station revenues. Develop relationships with developmental retail clients, existing TV advertisers and their agencies. College degree and a minimum of two years work experience preferred. Candidate should possess top communication skills and be service oriented. Experience with new business development preferred. Knowledge of Scarborough, NSI, Enterprise, TV Scan and general computer skills a plus. Must have valid driver's license.
